This work, conceived through the technique of layered oil painting, manifests a profound investigation into the perennity of human behavior throughout the centuries. In the background, the artist employs smooth transitions of color through glazing, constructing a nebulous and ethereal atmosphere that suggests the immensity of deep time. In contrast, the foreground is anchored by still lifes with slight impastos, where the tactile materiality of bread and wine opposes the disposability of fast food and plastic. This diptych establishes a chronological duality between the medieval rustic and the modern industrial, revealing that while settings and objects change, conflict-ridden human nature—represented by the silhouettes in perpetual struggle on the horizon—remains an eternal and unaltered constant. Inspiration: On occasion, I was in a fast-food restaurant, Champs-Élysées. Clippings of images from different times came to mind.
I thought about human behavior, the individual and the collective, objects, and technologies of its times.
The question arose about what is common for people from different times and what is timeless.

Esta obra, concebida sob a técnica de pintura em camadas sobrepostas, manifesta uma profunda investigação sobre a perenidade do comportamento humano através dos séculos. No plano de fundo, o artista utiliza suaves transições de cor através de glazing (velaturas), construindo uma atmosfera nebulosa e etérea que sugere a imensidão do tempo profundo. Em contraste, o primeiro plano é ancorado por naturezas-mortas de ligeiros empastos, onde a materialidade tátil do pão e do vinho se opõe à descartabilidade do fast-food e do plástico. Este díptico estabelece uma dualidade cronológica entre o rústico medieval e o industrial moderno, revelando que, embora os cenários e os objetos mudem, a natureza humana conflituosa — representada pelas silhuetas em perpétuo embate no horizonte — permanece uma constante eterna e inalterada. Inspiração: Certa ocasião, eu estava em um restaurante fast-food. Recortes de imagens de diferentes épocas me vieram à mente.
Pensei no comportamento humano, no individual e no coletivo, nos objetos e nas tecnologias das diversas épocas.
Surgiu a questão sobre o que é comum às pessoas dos diferentes tempos e culturas e o que é atemporal.
