This work delves into Symbolic Surrealism, exploring the fragility of human and mental connections when faced with the void. Through a refined layered painting technique, the artist constructs an ethereal and desolate atmosphere, where organic elements—reminiscent of neuronal structures or suspended roots—float above an enigmatic horizon.

Technique and Texture: The background is defined by smooth transitions and glazing, creating a sense of “deep time” where sky and earth merge into muted, greyish tones. In contrast, the central forms feature slight impastos, providing a tactile three-dimensionality that highlights their biomorphic strangeness.

Symbolism of the Tethers: The branching structures function as the “weavings of the unknown”, suggesting thoughts, memories, or social bonds attempting to anchor themselves to cylindrical stelae, yet remaining suspended and vulnerable to the vastness of the landscape.

Duality and Existence: The presence of stone columns, resembling ancient totems, establishes a dialogue between the permanence of the inanimate and the ephemerality of the organic.

Esta obra mergulha no Surrealismo Simbólico, explorando a fragilidade das conexões humanas e mentais diante do vazio. Através de uma técnica refinada de pintura em camadas, o artista constrói uma atmosfera etérea e desolada, onde elementos orgânicos — que remetem a estruturas neuronais ou raízes suspensas — flutuam sobre um horizonte enigmático.

Técnica e Textura: O fundo é definido por transições suaves e velaturas (glazing), criando um “tempo profundo” onde o céu e o mar se fundem em tons acinzentados. Em contraste, as formas centrais apresentam ligeiros empastos, conferindo uma tridimensionalidade tátil que destaca sua estranheza biomórfica.

Simbolismo das Amarras: As estruturas ramificadas funcionam como as “tramas do desconhecido”, sugerindo pensamentos, memórias ou vínculos sociais que tentam se ancorar em estelas cilíndricas, mas permanecem suspensos, vulneráveis à imensidão do cenário.
